My name is Mary Monaco and I am the founder of On Course Creative, an offering of Mary Monaco LLC. 

Through OCC, I aim to make digital art and media more accessible to my clients by offering horse show photography, portrait photography, website design, and consulting services regarding branding, analytics, and digital communications.

ABOUT ON COURSE CREATIVE

I've always had a passion for horses and photography. When I was 13, I began riding competitively and started taking pictures of other riders from my barn at shows. A few riders complimented the photos, and from then on, my camera came with me everywhere. 
In 2018 I created On Course Photos and began officially offering portraiture and horse show photography to the Shenandoah Valley.

From 2018 to 2022, I continued to develop my experience and education. I graduated from Bridgewater College in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and again in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Digital Media Strategy. While studying, I spent summers covering local horse shows, working as a photography intern at school, and continuing to develop experience doing portrait sessions. 

After graduating for good in 2022, I formed an LLC, began taking on small consulting projects for local businesses, and started working full-time in the nonprofit sector. During this time, On Course Photos continued to grow. By 2023, I knew it was time for an evolution, and I started preparing for the 2024 launch of On Course Creative.

Through On Course Creative, I get to use my experience and expertise as a photographer and digital media specialist to create art and help small businesses grow in a digital landscape. While OCC is a for-profit business, it's important to me that my services are accessible.
I will always prioritize covering local horse shows because I believe that every rider deserves to have beautiful images of them with their horse, whether they can afford a rated show experience or not. Similarly, I especially enjoy consulting for mission-driven organizations, so I offer discounted services to nonprofits. 

I love what I do and truly appreciate every client, mentor, and friend who has supported On Course Creative throughout the years.
